After 3 consecutive state finals qualifications I've decided to set myself a personal challenge. That challenge is to put my reputation, and quite possibly a 4th state finals qualification, on the line by playing at 1 or more regular venues and not filling out any stamp cards for the entire season.
To make this challenge interesting I'll be competing against a similar type player in Scott Murrin and we'll be keeping our own leaderboard going which we will update at the end of each week. As it stands currently (season 1, 2008), I have the better of Scott as far as overall results go where we've played at the same venues. It will truly be an uphill struggle to repeat this performance without stamping up.
Rules:
1. Pete may not, under any circumstances, receive stamps.
2. Pete will still make purchases at the venues (I'd die without a Carlsberg), but at all times will reference rule 1.
3. Scott will always be competing using 2 fully stamped cards.
4. Only venues Pete and Scott play on the same night/session will count on the leaderboard.
5. Season 2, 2008 is the relevant season which starts on 17th March and finishes on 25th May.
So there we have it! I reckon I'm going to get smashed!
Edit: Just to clarify, the challenge itself isn't to make the state final, but rather to see how well I go against a similar type of player over the course of a season with him fully stamping up and me not stamping up at all. Purely a Me vs Him scenario.
If I happen to actually make the state final I'll be stoked and would probably have little choice but to rate it as my greatest poker achievement.

Interesting theory Pete, good to hear that you will still support the venue. But i feel you will need to use this saying alot "how many spots on the bad beats"

hmmm perhaps
rule 6: pete must only use 1000 starting stack and if out early has to deal bad beats no play on bad beats
