Hi All

The Queens arms hotel in the city is changing days as of now to a Monday night starting 31st March. This will now be the only early game in the city on a Monday and we would hope to see more runners as the numbers of late have been unjustified for such a fantastic venue. With our new TD James who is awsome, $50 venue food/drink voucher for 1st and $20 for 2nd, good meals and a bunch of easy going players every week.

Stamp system is generous too with;
* 1 stamp for soft drinks and schooners
* 2 stamps for pints, stubbies and spirits
* 4 stamps for meals (which includes a free standard drink)

Hope to see some new faces there next week and in the future.

I have played solely at a venue previously directed by James and agree with the comments of praise.
I can definately see the benefits of switching to this venue in Season 3.
Work travel will make it hard for me to see more than 6 of the weekly tournaments during season 2 so if i am way out of the top 5, you can expect to me at the QA sooner.

Monday nights are a worry, but i am sure i can find a way

Played and qualified there last season. It is a nice venue but Monday night rules me out.....as does a baby.
No more poker for me this year

Had several people asking if there is any reason the results for the game played at the Queens Arms on the 31st March are not on the NPL website.
Does this game not count toward the season?

There were also questions about the Thursday leaderboard qualifying for state finals this season. There was some mention that only the top 3 will qualify.
Is it possible to get some sort of confirmation on this?

Hi Simon,
Have no idea what is going on with the game from 31st March, will chase that up today.
We will probably combine the Thursday leaderboard into the Monday one. But will wait for confirmation on this one.

Hi Garth,
I think this is a similar situation to the Tea Tree Gully hotel this season where they played 2 games on Tuesday then the remainder on Sunday. This resulted in a leaderboard for Sunday and a leaderboard for Tuesday. I think there have been other situations (Acers Bar?) where this has occurred also. Therefore I think the leaderboards should not be combined.

Let me guess... you would be top 5 if they dont :)
