Report the staff member to the manager or supervisor, they will not take kindly to being ripped off.
I have seen this before and you are correct, it isn't fair.

But be careful there aren't pre-paying for their drinks, and are getting their card stamped before getting them.
Occasionally I have received extra stamps (eg 4 instead of 2) from bar-staff, but I've never asked for them. I'll 85% of the time buy another drink later to make up for it anyway, but I'm not at fault here. It's really up to the bar manager to ensure their staff are following the rules.

yea true but not all pubs do prepaid drinks
and i know its not UR fault... you might be a big drinker- spend alot of money at the pub ...but if someone knows the bar staff who's to say that they will continue to buy drinks to make up for it ... sounds a bit dodgy to me
lol i think prepaid drinks should not be done cuz it can be confusing but i guess its up to the bar staff and the manager

i work in a venue and we hold NPL games.
and im absolutely sick of people trying to pressure me into stamping their cards without them spending the right amount.
i wont do it, because i play poker and i know how it works.
our hotel pays NPL to hold the games, and in turn your TD gets paid.
it is only worth our while to hold the games if customers buy drinks and food when they are there.
so suck it up and buy a few drinks or something to eat.
its still free poker.

well said teej
I can see your point of views and you should NEVER be pressured to do the wrong thing ...WELDONE for standing up for yourself
AND I hope other bar staff do the right thing cuz thats what they get paid 4

-Nothing wrong with prepaid drinks so people can be stamped and manage how much they drink, instead of getting there late aand having to slam down half a dozen or so, we dont want to promote drink driving
-If a venue wants to fully stamp someone for one drink its up to them i think, cause thats lost revenue for them, but on the other hand whats wrong with a venue looking after there regulars, players that may have played every week for the last 6 months, some venues have 2 or more games a week, so if some people are being rewarded because they have supported there venue then i dont have a problem with this

I only agree 50% there ron.
What if a new player enters a venue and see's someone get a full card for just 1 drink, and this new player only gets 1 stamp.
I doubt they'll end up going back there because as a new player they arent getting good service compared to others.
I think venues can do other things for their regular players such as maybe having end of season draws for people who play 7/8 out of the 10 games or something.
