hi all,
this mondays turnout was still good considering how long people were out playing poker on sunday...
myself and the other volunteers at the flying club are trying to do everything we can to make sure everyone is happy, so we are still open to suggestions and feedback.
one of the complaints i heard was about cans of soft drink being $2.50 and 1 stamp.
in response to this as an example it sosts us about $10 to $11 per player registered, if one person comes in and buys four cans of coke for $2.50 and stamps up one card we are already losing money on that player let alone taking the original price of the coke off that total. let alone if we sell it at $2.... my point is if everyone did this or even half then their would be no point in us running the night.
However, cans of soft drink will be going down to $2 and 1 stamp,
all i am asking is please help support the club and keep this venue going,
i know most of you do and thanks...
dont forget next monday is the flight over salisbury for first place!!
we may also run a beer table after the bad beats have finished.
and the bounty is on everyone again!!
cheers, Karl

Yeah I actually sat on the same table as Pete last season when I played the forst couple of games there. Didn't keep going to the Winson stamping was rediculous.
Met Pete again on the team weekend ........ should I say he's a nice guy????? LOL

Hi there Karl. Hey I'm trying my hardest to support you guys and get more people there M8. I managed to talk 3 more into coming last night and I think we finished at 50 runners.
If everyone asked one person to join then on a Monday night and only 50% turned up we'd be laughing. 70 runners might be a bit tight but you definately need at least 60 to make it pay or at least cover your costs.
Where did you get too Big Pete????? Do you want me to put some chalk arrows on the footpath for you and your mates to follow??? LOL
Bugga me I finished on the bubble and not happy with some slow players, but that's poker. Left b4 the final table scared the crap outa the missus coming home so early.
See you there next week guys and gals, Bob B

Oh I haven't forgotten!
I'm just trying to try and retain some money each week for a change
Will definitely come by at some stage and no doubt the crew will as well.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: NEW VENUE mon 28th jan PARAFIELD FLYING CLUB
hi all,
well the first season is going well at all venues and the flying club is doing fine. hopefully next season will see a few more regular runners each week.
i have a few things up my sleeve for the next season, but im not saying too much just yet,
for the regulars that have been coming you may have noticed that stretch (the tall bloke that normally runs the bar) has not been in the last two weeks as he has done his knee in and will be off a while longer. we have found a replacement and i have been serving a bit aswell, and on top of this Glenn, who was our BBQ chef has been off for two weeks aswell with work, so it has been tough on us, so try to bare with us and if you have any comments or suggestions you know i am always willing to hear them.
as was mentioned monday night we had thought about running a late game on monday night aswell for those that dont want to travel to the city, i would like some more feedback on this aswell, however i need to look into what time our licence stops. ( i think its 12:30 am) before we make any decisions aswell
finally if anyone is keen to help out at the club on a monday night to set up tables and chairs and maybe cook the BBQ any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
the parafield flying club is open every afternoon at 5 pm for a few hours so if anyone wants to call in and have a cheap drink in a relaxing atmosphere, or just kill some time till poker starts at another venue one night you are more than welcome.
see you all monday night (if not at the tables sooner)
