Seeing that all forum users ave their own opinion on the NPL competition and prizes, and also that the users here offer some unique input into the NPL competition structure; we have decided to run a "be the boss" competition.
As such we will set some broad guidelines and you can design the competition structure for 2009.
One staff member and one player to present the best idea will win return airfares and one night accommodation in either the Melbourne or Adelaide CBD.
Key Criteria:
Budget - $500,000
States – SA and VIC
Season length – You decide
Regions – assume 12 in each state
Amount of events – 250 per week (keep in mind for qualification purposes) (140 in SA, 110 in VIC)
Prize packs – already taken care of
Guidelines:
1.) Season lengths must be 8 to 12 weeks
2.) Games must run for 50 weeks of the year.
3.) Qualification methods can be changed.
4.) Leaderboards do not need to be used.
5.) State Finals format can be changed.
6.) You cannot exceed the budget.
7.) Set the competition schedule as you see fit, not all seasons must equal the same amount in prizes.
8.) Competition structure must be repetitive and reflect a similar competition schedule from season to season.
9.) You can change the NPL competition in any way you would like
10.) Consistent performance must be rewarded.
11.) Points and Tournament structure can be changed.
12.) Passports must remain as a part of the competition.
Conditions:
1.) You must be an NPL member to participate.
2.) All entries must be submitted in word doc and emailed to garth@npl.com.au
3.) You can enter as many times as you like.
4.) All entries must have your full name, address, contact no and NPL member no. attached.
