I like the proper payout structure. Looks good. Means I would have got at least $90 last year when i got nothing . That has to be a good thing.
Get onto it Garth! I mean if it wants to be more professional we SHOULD be playing like professionals! nice work Garth.

Hi there Guys and Gals, I'm a little confused regarding the suggested changes to the prize structure???????
Hmmmmmm, I'm hoping the $20k break down is only meant to be seen as a simplified example and not the real deal!!!!
A $20,000 pot with $5,000 payout to the winner???
How is this in anyway a close comparison to our current break down of prizes available to the "Top 20 finalists"?????
Am I missing something here????????

Bob, The structure listed here is an example of what the real payouts would be for a real 20,000 freeroll tournament.

i think any money would be great i mean its a free tournament and th pubs get the revenue from the drinks anyway so anything is good, i think its good that they started it in season 3 because i am the Gawler/Barossa leader at the moment and i can't be happier

To everyone complaining about $90 not being enough, take a look at this:
28th - 50th is the bottom 0.45%. You should be grateful you're getting any money (or prize packs) at all, I would have thought only the top 30, at most, would receive prizes. This is FREE money, people. NPL don't owe you anything - they provide us with hundreds of FREE games a season. We don't pay for anything - only stamps, and that's by choice. And you're complaining because the prizes they're offering aren't high enough? Come off it.
Making the top 50 of your region (if you play well enough) isn't impossible. With skill, it can be done.
We should be applauding NPL for bringing in cash prizes, not criticising their lack of disposable money.
Exactly.

we havent paid that 200 bucks to get a return on our money, we have paid it because we all love poker.
Exactly.

I'm not sure if money is actually being awarded for the next state final. My interpretation is that the money shown was the approximate value of the prizes to be awarded for that position?

No, Garth is getting a reaction from you guys if the NPL decided to offer cash prizes instead of the current range of prizes.
I'm quite happy the way it is now.

Garth, are you saying you are just showing us what a Real "$20k freeroll" percentage break down of payouts would be on say any other online tournament?
So, are we going to retain the current prize pool that we had in the recently completed first and second tourneys?
Are NPL considering doing away with the various prizes that were offered for final 1 & 2 and replacing what ever the equivilent dollar values were to cash prizes only???

I think your right in your last statement Des.
I've been on this planet for quite a while and I have spent the best part of it as a salesman. My salesmans nose says, something doesn't smell as it should, if you know what I mean.
With all due respect to Garth, I think he's a nice enough guy. I also think he's a very good poker player and salesman.
He has the "NUTS" and is in position to put a teaser bet out there to see who is gonna call, raise or fold.
What do you think?????????????????????????????????????

Hi Bob,
We are looking to change our State Finals prizes to cash only. I just wanted feedback on what sort of payout structure everyone would be happy with.
