How much is a 6 pax of hoageageredeneadn? I mean, if thats what you drink, that's what you should be getting. If its not too outlandish I'll get it.

All a moot point anyway, you'll be out first level.

I think NPL should reconsider the timing of the event, and make it saturday night.

Yeah because that's when the majority of people I know start work.... maybe you should reconsider who should be reconsidering and if you had bothered to come on here before now you'd have already been well informed as to WHY it's on a sunday.

This is not a place just for people to come and have a cry when there's something they don't like. Go cry to your mum.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Thats funny Pete,

Because i actually thought this forum was made for South Aussie NPL members to come and express their opinions and be given a voice so those who do run NPL actually get to hear them.

But i guess people who have plenty of time sitting on their a**'s messaging a forum obviously dont start work at 5am, so therefore it isnt an issue for them.

I was merely commenting on the time and day of the event, purely for the fact that people from all walks of life enjoy NPL poker, and have qualified, but are unable to attend because of the timing.

I believe there is a earlier tourny commencing at 1, well here's one for ya pete, why dont they swap them around, there is more logic in that, wouldnt you think?

P.S Cheers matty fo setting a venue, your hard work is appreciated, and if you thought I was having a go at you about it, i wasnt and i apologise.

My point was, people that start work at 5am are in the minority. The majority shouldn't have to change things around for the few that mightn't be able to make it.

And again, if you had bothered to read before complaining (and that's exactly what you were doing), you could have saved yourself some effort.

The way you expressed your so called opinion is quite simply not welcome.

P.S. What if those playing in the earlier game have to start work at FOUR am???? can't swap that game around just in case, that'd ruin their little lives!
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

What Pete said.

You can never please everyone, Az.

Correct you cant please everyone, but the earlier game is only a freeroll tourny, not a regional final, and those who start at 4am probably wouldnt give a hoo har if they missed a regular freeroll.

But, i will accept that people who do start work early are a minority, not that I am one, but friends of mine who have qualified are disapointed they cant attend.

Anyway, time to get ready for the kinga.

Just a thought, whats easier - ONE OR TWO people changing their plans and trying get get work off or a different start time, or over a hundred people getting their plans changed?

Seriously, its a silly argument.

What people arent understanding, is that it wasnt an arguement, it was an opinion, but comments from other individuals has turned it into an arguement.

but since you raised the point, it takes 3 hours for a 50 person freeroll, now not everyone starts work before dawn, but consider this, if there were 148 qualifiers, and obviously not everyone will be attending, but lets say 120 people do and it starts at 7:00pm then can you give me an estimate on what time it would finish?

or hasnt anyone given that any consideration?

anyway, im leaving it there, ive had my say, if anyone wants to continue on about it, then feel free, this forum was made for peoples opinions afterall.

I'll be there either way, so good luck all, hopefully see you on the final table.

No-one's denying you were just stating an opinion, Az. But when your opinion's opening gambit is "what the bloody hell", and there has already been much discussion about the timing of the event, of course others will also put forth their "opinion".

Hell, if the event was held at one or two o'clock in the afternoon, what do you think the rebuttal will be when someone says,"what the bloody hell?? My shift finishes at 7am, I think the event should be moved!"

No-one is prevented from putting forth an opinion, however they present it. But this is a forum, as you say, and discussion and disagreement are the crux of a forum. In this particular scenario, the staging of the B&G regionals has been discussed (and argued) at length already, and initially due to the lack of a venue to host the event; so the decision to hold it at the given time has not come about on a whim.

PS - good luck to all who have qualified :D

who ended up winning last night?

i tried to play tighter than i normally would have, but i was pretty much card dead until i got [ad] [kd], and raced against troy h's [8d] [8h], which held up.

this means i owe AK a 6 pack, although he was pretty short stacked when i got knocked out, so im not sure how long he lasted.

in addition, i owe Troy H a drink, because he knocked bruce out BEFORE he was all in blind

bruce had 1100, and the blinds were 200-400

bruce calls from mid pos
troy in the BB checks - he has a good stack of about 10K

flop comes [kd] [8s] [3h] (or something like this anyway)

troy min bets, bruce goes into the tank and finally calls the min bet

turn [8c]

troy checks, bruce checks

river was a blank, troy puts bruce all in, bruce calls and turns over [kh] [qh], to troys [8d] for trips, and bruce was gone.

WHY OH WHY OH WHY DIDN'T YOU JAM ALL UR CHIPS IN THERE ON THE FLOP BRUCE?

anyway, that was like 2 hands before i got knocked out, so bruce and i both got knocked out by troy, who is a good, solid player, and i hope he went on to take it out.
