Can't wait!

Main Event sounds great!

Brand of Origin special events would be awesome too!

Combined semi-finals = huge events! (I assume combined prize pools too of coarse!)

I met heaps of people I like at 888PL, I can only imaging meeting more through APL now!

GTD there will be haters of this union... but they can go have their Full House's beaten by A10 at Fully Broke 500.

what will the Main event be in terms of buyin, expected prize pool, etc?

what is the reason for keeping separate branding? just due to player loyalty?

what will happen in terms of online games?

Will the 2 leagues still operate using different rules and tournment staff etc, or will we see a common set of rules, game formats and shared staff.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I think it's great and looking forward to bigger prizepools but having just finished competition law I have to ask:

Did you get legal advice as to whether the merger is legal given the likely anticompetitive effect on the pub poker market?

lulz... I Highly doubt either entity (APL/FHG) would have engaged in any sort of litigation/research prior to entering this agreement. Especially the lowly law studies of a uni student... :D

LOL good one

Maybe the Fullhouse group could consider buying a service station or two and we could get our tournament cards stamped up whilst we are filling out tank..

1.) I know - but this information will be presented in due time.
2.) Because both brands carry distinct seperate strengths in different markets and to remove either brand would be a terrible business decision at this early stage of the process.
3.) They continue to operate for 888PL players.

In the short term - rules and tournament operations will remain independant of each other for each brand. There is more coming in terms of regulation and industry standard rules and staff accreditation but that is a discussion for another time.

Both brands will continue to operate different tournament formats but eventually staff may be able to operate 888PL or APL tournaments.
