maybe "nearly died" is exaggerating slightly, but it was by far the worst gastro/food poisoning i have ever had, and probably the sickest i have felt before.

it started 11pm on the sunday night, and we were flying home at 3.30 on the monday, and at one stage i wasnt going to fly home because i dont think i could, but i got some tablets from the chemist and they worked well enough.

old-man daryl ended up being about 18 hours behind me, he was sick basically as soon as we got off the plane.

Yeah, I've still got the flu from Melb, there was definitely something in that poker room on Thurs/Fri...

Air-conditioned basement + Bain-Marie Chinese food + those dirty chips + tournament poker where gentlemen prioritize not missing a hand over washing their hands = well, you know.

I got through the whole weekend good and healthy,so glad I ran so bad on the felt.
