Online Champs Pay Out Structure's???????????

Postby omnnumnumnum » Sun Jul 03, 2011 9:38 am

I Don,t Know if This is a 888pl Issue or a 888online Issue with there Programme Pay out System.

Oc Champs #2: 109 Registered Buy-in $5.50 /Pay out 20 to 11 $5.45

OC Champs#5: 58 Registered Buy-In $55 Pay Out for 10th $58

All week I looked Forward To playing The 888pl Online Champs But The Pay-Out Structure is Very Average.

If this Happen Live Your Venue would Be empty The Next Week

I will Play the Main Event Only Because I want to Support 888pl Because I feel it Has Good Intentions and is on a Learning Curve :-)))

Online Champs Pay Out Structure's???????????

Postby maccatak11 » Sun Jul 03, 2011 9:58 am

The method for calculating payouts I standard across all 888 tournaments, so this is definitely an 888 issue, not an 888pl one. Having said that, I agree with you. Depending on numbers in a tourney can mean 888's payout structure is either very top heavy, or very flat. Tilt and stars have a much more detailed way if calculating payouts which is better I think.

Do not see the issue. I play lots online at various sites and it is pretty standard that you get just above the buy in when you min cash with the payouts being weighted much higher for top 3.

No the guy who went out in 11th and got nothing now is much worse off and as I see the payout structure as standard really do not think you need to apologize on my behalf.

on a brighter note

Well done to all of the winners. Awesome job

Maybe you should of had a look at some other tourney payout structures, paying to 10th was quiet generous i think.

I was enjoying playing and watching others not altering their game when the bubble was closing in, i dont think many people even had their eye on the money

i personally like 888's payout system. it rewards the people that finish top 3 more than anyone else, which is how it should be.

if there are 100 runners in an 888 tourney, they pay 20 people as well, which is definitely not standard, its usually more like 12-15. so i guess you could roll those extra 5 payouts into the 10-15 ones and make it increase but i personally dont care, as i am going for the win, not a min cash.

if you were playing these same tourneys on stars, you would be paying 11-15 people for the 109 runner tourney, and probably 7 for the 58 runner tourney, so look at it as getting a bonus, not the other way round imo.

888pl Premium Online Event

I wil take this Issue Up 888 online

That Being How do you get to a Situation of OC Event #2
where you Cash For less than the Buy-in??????

Also Highrollers $55 event 10th you get $58 its a Outright Insult To a Person Intelligence.

I have Clocked Over 5000 games on 888poker and Have seen How payout Structures Have Been Done But For a Premium Event For the Online Champs I Feel you Have a Option To Communicate with 888 Online To have a Say on what Structure you would Like ???????
Like I said Previous this would Never Happen Live ????

I agree. It rewards players going for the win, which should always be your goal in a poker tournament - and that's the approach needed to maximise your ROI. I final tabled both OC events I entered and have received 5x my initial investment, which is quite satisfactory & not far off standard in any event. But really, I couldn't care less because I'm going for the win, that's where the real money is in any main event - give or take 1 or 2x a ROI.

And to get your money back or 99% of it with a flatter payout structure is better than missing out all together; especially when you are going for the win ;)
