Hi, Does anyone else think that a 888pl online names register would be a good idea? I.e. put up on the website a list of online names with the real name of each person next to it. Then it would be easy for league members to simply look up and see exactly who they are playing/chasing online. I don't know the privacy rules etc. on this, but I recon this would be a really good addition to the 888pl website....

This would also largely stop some of the bad/personal chat abuse also. Makes it easier to name and shame the bad ones.

Your name is posted on the website every time you play in a live venue. I dont really see what the difference is.

don't think there are any privacy issues.. u can sorta do it though the website atm

I am sure it shouldn't be an issue since people's details are readily available on the 888pl site anyway. At the moment you just have a do a little bit of sleuthing to find out a username's real name. A search function would be nice.

Yeah, but don't forget we are playing in a league that you need to be a member of. So as a league member, you really should have the right to know what member of the league you are playing against....

could start one on this forum as it develops it could go to official 888pl web site . [ it would create publicity/ exposure / sociality for the forum ]

I love this idea because there are a few that I have come across who have changed there screen name which throws my notes out that I have been keeping on them. Also as stated a lot of people like to hide behind there screen name when making comments to others as they believe they are anonymous and I know that they would not say half of the things that they say if people knew who they really were.

Does every 888pl member have an online name?
