for some unknown reason, the tourney was cancelled when 11 out of the 17 runners were left

the other tourneys are working completely fine.

i was chip leader, and had nearly 20% of the chips in play at the time. but i still get $18 like the rest of the people, as the prize pool was split equally.

why not a chip chop?

pretty poor imo. i wonder why this happened?

All I know is that we were playing, got disconnected, returned to see 'cancelled' notice and here's $18.18

there were 11 people left maybe ten.

the table looked like it lost connection. like when your internet goes down, but it only happened on that table. i was playing on 2 others at the time, and they were fine.

after about 2 minutes, i decided to restart my poker client

both of the other tables came back properly, but this one didn't.

then after another minute or so, a message comes up saying the tourney was cancelled and that we each were awarded $18.18 or something like that.

really not happy. mostly because i was chip leader at the time.

but surely the money would get distributed according to how many chips you have, rather than evenly?

We think Scott called them to cancel the game cause he was first out....

Issue one: Cancellation

If 888 were physically unable to bring the game back up (the current cards/counts/positions/runners were lost) then they really have no choice. Doesn't make it good, I know - but if that's the case... it sucks.

Issue two: Money

I would say that's the terms and conditions? I think I remember Mat being in a FT tourney and it being cancelled - everyone received equal - though that was going back a couple of years.

Scott doesn't need to call them
There's a rule built into the 888 servers that if he goes out first, there's a countdown to disconnection.

You'll also find your toiliet doesn't flush now.

benny the cunt, chips have to be evenly distributed mate. You never know how a game is to end no matter the stack size
