Yup. I'm sure I can get there with 888, I've just not put the time in there. Only site I've ever put the effort in was tilt. Will be practicing on 888 before try two tho as regardless of the reason, I was crap at it :D

Garth, that's like saying DEFINITELY don't concentrate to people who already aren't trying very hard to concentrate :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

its your choice if you cant play all of the games due to multitabling demands, just dont play the games!!!

not like you get a prize for playing all of them or anything.

this is my point. i expected I would be able to - certainly can on tilt - run 3 tables easily, but failed miserably. no criticism, but I don't gel with the UI. I suspect that is just a lack of exposure to 888.

I'm well aware some can do it with ease.

Anyway, this is a distraction from the fact I loved the evening of poker. Awesome work 888PL.

Not being a picky or a smart arse at all but can you elaborate exactly what the primary issue was?

What exactly about the interface was an issue?

Do you tile or cascade?
It could be an issue with your settings?

with the new software, (as of a year ago or whatever) i dont have any issues anymore.

the main difference is the scroll wheel for the bet sizing i think. i usually type in bet sizes when i am late in a tourney so it doesnt bother me, but this might be your issue, as the bet slider isn't quite as user friendly as on tilt - you have to click it first before you can use the scroll wheel, but in stars/tilt if the table is selected you can scroll straight away

the only other differences are small things, like the stars and tilt tables remember what the other tables were in size and pop up the same size. they also pop up in the same position of one you closed, if you tile.

apart from that, i really dont think there are much differences in playability. i actually like the fact that 888 has the "info" as a tab rather than a popout like on tilt, means i can have the info tab open 100% of the time and know what i am doing.

Fair question - I have trouble answering it myself.

My best guess is I can't take in the action as quickly when I look a table over. When I play tilt, I can read the action from the chip stack images really easily, but I just dont take it in as quickly on 888. I have played far more tilt than 888 tho so this isnt surprising.

The 888 UI isn't as clean(?) as the plain tilt UI I choose (old school ones, race track, no avatars) and the important bits dont seem to jump out at me as much as they could.

I also have "trust" issues about 888 letting me know when the action is on me.

Together, this means I have to spend more time "scanning" across the tables even when I'm in a serious pot.

A lot of this is likely to either my lack of experience with multi tabling or my lack of playing with settings of the 888 software. I was just relating the experience I had earlier, not asking for a fix. I was quite surprised to find I couldn't manage in the way I was expecting to.

Long quote I know but I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I actually prefer the 888 interface, I have focus on BET set as a parameter and active table pops up enabled. So as soon as it is my turn to act the window pops open and I hit F5 or type in a bet and hit enter (as anyone who has played against me can testify, I type bets in for all stages of the tourney - keeps me focused).

I am trying to see if there are any other issues at play that I can speak to 888Poker about. I think it might be a game settings issue for Matthew.

I'm def going to make more of an effort to practice/experiment on 888.

You guys tile the tables or use a "pop-up" style setting?
