Gundog, what the hell is the perfect structure then.

Please, let us know.

For the record, a know a LOT of people that play the games that go past 11pm who start work before 9am. I don't think you know the majority of people.

another excellent effort in twisting what I said and this is what I said
most workers start work between 7am and 9am
and where did I claim to know the majority of people.

If you want to fire bullets make sure you have the correct ammo.

So then answer the question where have the players gone, its not to venues.

A snapshot in time last sat night 4 venues top venue 59 players next 39 the 3 game venue has 24,25 & 30 i suppose a number of those players played at least 2 games and the sole country venue had 18.......yep tonights 9pm freeroll has great numbers but what about the other events how are the numbers stacking up for them.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

That's not twisting it at all.
By saying "before 9am" I mean in the couple of hours before 9am. My being one of them.

And I know a LOT of people who play those games who start at those hours.

How did I twist what you said?

As for claiming to know most people?

what a load of crud.....most workers start work between 7am and 9am .....they are not going to pay to play, if the event finishes much later than 11pm.

How can you make that statement without knowing about them? Don't quote part of what you wrote to try and tell me I'm twisting what you're saying.

If I read what you're saying correctly, you state:

1. Most workers start between 7am and 9am
2. Those workers are not going to play if the event finishes much later than 11pm

To which I said that I know a LOT people who Do start at those hours and who DO play the later finishing games.

Pub poker has evened out to the point that the numbers not going DOWN is a win, quite often.

gundog, you say that you cant play past 11pm each night

pretty sure all of these events wont go past 11pm - maybe 1130 for the deepstack, but it is 6max and 10 min levels, so its definitely not going to go past midnight.

8:30:00 PM Standard Freeroll 888PL Freeroll #2 $0.00 2,000 10 minute blinds Y Winner receives entry into Weekly Low Stakes Satellite 2 0
8:45:00 PM Standard 888PL JMACK GRIND $3.00 + 0.30 2,000 10 minute blinds Y Ne wintroduction, standard event named after most rewarded 888PL player 2 3
9:00:00 PM Deepstack - 6 max 888PL Feature Event $5.00 + 0.50 5,000 10 minute blinds Y Short handed event; deepest structure daily. 2 5
9:15:00 PM PLO 888PL Nightly PLO $2.00 + 0.20 3,000 10 minute blinds Y PLO event - buy in reduced dramatically and structure reduces run time 2 5

so 4 games a night during your times is not enough for you? how many tables do you normally play?

Hi there benny the cunt, I hope you don't mind me using your post to express my views as an average low budget online player. I really only enjoy playing the Murrin every night except Wednesdays (venue night) mostly, for it's current time slot and format.

I don't bother with the later games or the Freerolls nor do I play any day time games any more especially since they moved the AK and removed the points for the freeroll games. The later cash games seem to go on and on and on, to the early hours of the morning.

And to be honest I'm not one who wants to grind their night away playing the same few people every night. Unfortunately, the Murrin has lost quite a few runners since the relocation, 9 per table and only one addon.

I get plenty of enjoyment from the 0.50 + 0.05 cent Murrin rebuy and at worst it may cost me a couple of 55 cent rebuys and addons which is now a singular addon. The Antes are gone too not sure why as it got the ghost out from making the FT.

The 8.30pm Freeroll goes in the "I don't want to play bin"

The 8.45pm JMACK $3.00 + 0.30 may be the go but I do prefer bigger stacks than 2,000 hence the reason I prefer the rebuys & Addons.

The 9.00pm Deepstack for $5.00 also looks good and my finish at a reasonable time but that will probably attract the more serious player and take all night so it depends on whose playing.

The 9.15pm PLO $2.00 +0.20 cents looks like fun. I haven't played PLO seriously for a couple of years, I used to play Omaha H/L every night so I might be interested in trying my hand at it again dependant on the numbers.

The others don't really appeal to me personally mainly due to the lateness, the costs of playing them every night to retain a top 5 position.

A long time ago gambling nearly cost me my marrige so I promised myself to enjoy playing the game and pay off the house in 10 years and I've done that.

So, it's not a cash flow problem as I'm currently in the Aussie Millions $10 rebuy home game. Mainly for the challenge because wanting to give it a shot.

So, I guess I'll try the ones I said and see where we go from there. Cheers and a good post benny the cunt.

edit: the Aussie Millions will have to wait for me in another life time!!!! I made some good cards, bad raises, bad calls and used up my rebuys and out just before the break. On the bright side I saved $10.00 re; no addon LOL.

Yes as long as it does not have an GF seat as a prize, so the MQF n such is OOB, but any other buying game is ok... I now play just in the "All" tab as some people dont like to be knocked out by a TC, and tbh seeing as we dont get points (and shouldn't) for online play it makes sense for us to play in games other than 888PL section.

Aplogies for arriving late into this topic.

It is great to see that 888PL and Garth are always looking to improve what it offers. I like the way that Garth puts it to the people for their opinion. Well, here's my 2 bobs worth.
I would like to suggest a Sunday 7:30pm timeslot for an event. The monthly qualifiers used to be held on Sundays from memory and numbers were good.
I think a lot of players would participate in a "main event" of some sort on a Sunday....perhaps in lieu of some weeknight events and I don't think it would affect venues much. I suppose it might be an issue when regional semi-finals are on but so be it. Cheers.
