Venue Closure

Postby sunbury2 » Tue Jan 06, 2009 8:35 am

Just a small one.
Sorry to keep starting threads.
I only play the once a week on a Monday and last night being a new season with new formats I was pretty excited. Only to be told the venue is changing to another poker company in 4 weeks.
I know NPL will lose and start new venues but knowing this season is only a 4 week one, seems strange

Not much you can do about that mate, just one of those things we as players have to live with.

Bacon made a good point though, do well for those 4 weeks and you'll be saying hello to the Championship Weekend.

P.S. We *want* you to start threads! :D
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yeah the Olive Tree is a funny one.

We are in the process of organising another Monday night event for that region.

It will be a shortened season for the Olive Tree and top 5 will qualify for the Maine Event.

Plenty of reasons.

Any reason why an NPL contractor is posting on here to ask questions of me instead of emailing or calling?

They wished to discontinue poker, we had been negotiating with them, thinks looked promising then they decided on Sunday night that they weren't going ahead with it.

Can you try and ask the Sunbury Bowling club to do another day?
Even a Sunday afternoon would be good. Am sure they could generate enough interest.

Thanks for quick reply though.

Will try my best for the next 3 weeks.

Your lucky you got a little advanced notice, I have seen the Npl lose a well-established venue in just over a week, mid season.

We are approaching Sunbury to see if they would like an additional night.
