I discussed this with Ernie on the weekend when I saw this thread pop up, as he recounted the story to me I saw no issue with his ruling.
Player folded out of turn and as such the hand stays folded. The all in was not called at any stage.

I will also add that I will alleviate all concerns by speaking to the final three players in person.
In no way am I questioning Ernie's call but I want to make sure that all players had a positive expereince and that there is no further follow up required.

ok so here is what ACTUALLY happened, remembering this is at 2.30 am with venue manager standing at the table watching the clock as we have to be finished by 2.30......last hand was called as ALL PLAYERS knew that at 2.30 if there is no result positions determined by chip count..this was announced on numerous occasions during the tournament and all players are aware if it got to the time chip counts would decide...[url]now i cant recall actual chip counts or blind levels [/url]but thats all irrelevant here anyway as my ruling is the point of contention......utg jams (short stack) bb folds his cards out of turn cards thrown face down, small blind folds.....ummmm ok???? I go into think mode......so ok utg wins his amount from both sb and bb, sb wins his side pot and change given to bb...simple....thats the facts...at no time was entire pot pushed to bb....then the rail expert jumped up and down like he has stated, quoting our rules to me??? besides not actually seeing what happened and then accusing me of cheating??? the 3 remaining players at no time colluded and were happy with the decisions made.....this is a storm in a teacup from an upset railbird whom was annoying players all night from the rail, on 2 different occasions 1 particular player asked in no uncertain terms if he would like to sit and play his game for him...read between the lines people. My decision was the correct decision....and final decision.

As Ernie stated game finished @ 2:30 am Fri, He ran 2 more games on Sat also finishing after midnight Then ran the Vic S/F's on sun & got home @ 3:30 this morning.

As the structure is always the same, you really should automatically know what the final blind level is though....

Ernie, one question. Was the small stack all in and did the blinds cover his all in. If the answer is yes then why was there no show down? I think this is what everyone wants to know.

How do you showdown cards that BB has mucked outta turn?
If SB folds and hasnt covered the UTG jam then the hand is over, UTG is given the small blind and matched anything upto from the BB plus any antes.

BB folds outta turn therefore who actually opens there cards top showdown??
SB maybe but wait they um didnt call therefore if you dont call you fold (well i think thats how it works)

Sounds to me that the right decision was made on the night !!

For the Record, State Finals seats are not allowed to be sold Nationwide.... They are EARNT by qualifying.

This is the part that could be called collusion, and really the TD should be on top of it and not allow BB to fold if the BB is greater than the allin amount (it's 3 handed, the TD should be in charge of all action at this stage), even if it is done out of turn....

Nothing against Ernie, but it seems a cut and dry situation.
