The answer arrived in the form of a txt this arvo, then a check of the NPL web site confirms another venue lost.

So Pooraka starts off with NPL which morphs into 888pl, then they change to Elite and come back now the have gone over to the new/old NPL.

Makes you wonder what the hell is going on.

Seems like Pooraka can't make up their mind.

Not the easiest venue to deal with Graham and we supported and serviced this venue beyond measure. We also offered them the cheapest games anywhere in our entire network.

The decision rests with them and it seems NPL is keen on market share and once again we have another provider slashing costs to venue that are untenable in the long term.

In the end it will be players funding prize pools for state and regional finals and noone will make a profit from poker. At what I have heard NPL are charging the industry (as you currently know it) will be dead within 12 - 18 months.

BTW - I loved Pooraka as a venue and the people there. It was one of the few venues I attended quite regularly as state manager.

But I understand there move back to another provider but alternating between three providers (four times) over 24 months can tell you all you need to know about why it is happening.

It just peeves me because every month I'm in adelaide for meetings and rather than come straight home I would stay and play pooraka, which I was intending to do today then the txt came, I thought of playing Sema luckily decided against it. I would have been very annoyed because I havn't received a txt about its decision.

Oh well I can take some solace that my local venues are continuing.
