Alright, this debate got me thinking. Given the choice, would you rather take $5,000 or a buy in to the Aussie Millions tournament?
I'm not saying that we should change the current system, just after some opinions.
Money, or the chance at more money?

Horses for courses.
Your saying 5k cash or a 10500 seat?
Or 5k cash or a seat into one of the cheaper events with flights and accom?
Or 5k cash. with the opportunity to play in 3 events at 1100 with flights and accom?
At the moment option c with 3 games to play is winning for me.
If it is just one event. I will take the 5 grand and play the sunday 100 tourneys for a little while
.
Brett.

5k cash or the Aussie Millions seat (whatever is in the package, I'm assuming at most it'll be flights, accom and entry to the AM, a single tournament). If you could sell your AM seat (you can't), that'd be a different story.
Personally, I'm in the 5k camp. No matter how much money is offered at Aussie Millions, you don't come across $5,000 for free very often (read: never). However, if money doesn't mean anything to you and you want to experience the "thrill" of playing in one of Australia's largest poker tournaments... go for it.

Re: 5k or Aussie Millions seat?
seems like people are pretty split on this one.
i suppose you could use the cash you won to buy in to the aussie millions
the problem with that is, when u see your bank account +5K, its gonna be hard to spend that on a poker tourney.

Hmm, well those results are surprising. I was tipping 5k to win by a mile.

Agree to the above ---- Bretts option three gets my vote
Cash is nice ' Fame and Fortune ' has a price
- Aussie Millions has both.

True. Still, you'd think $5,000 would win out.

I'll take the phantom option "3" or was it "C" oh bugga, the one that Brett said.
