You're a Bunch of Factors

Hey guys,

Im in a bad mood and this is all on the fly, so if it doesn't make sense, just read it a few times and hopefully you will get what im on about...

Gonna start off on a positive, Played my first game in yonks!!! and had a great time, sat on a table with 'the Brae', Mr Matty G, Marty Moose, Miss Katie S, and a few others (can't remember their names).

I was of course the aggressor! and so Matty G played AA perfectly against me, stacked him good... Stacked Moose too when he had Aces, Got my favorite hand and destroyed some guys holding K10.
Katie was getting a bit upset but she blew off some steam when she doubled up a few times, i think she had fun....

But enough of that....

some poker 101, Patience

If you are sitting at a table with aggressive players, its actually quite easy to get chips, simply be patient, And when you have a good hand, or mega hit the board they will even do the betting for you. By no means think "this is bullsh*t" and decide to call on crap hands because most likely the aggressor is playing strong or marginal hands which means you have to hit with your poor hand to win... and of course 60-70 percent of the time you are gonna loose all your chips and get even more upset/angry.

Enough about that....

I was disgusted by some comments players where making about other players. First time I come to play poker and all I have is someone sitting on my left, complaining to the person on my right about what he/she did/didnt do/does around him/her when/while they/them did something that may/maynot of been done, and of course is not relevant to anything! like WTF.

If you ever talk to me in such a manner again, or if i even hear of you talking in such away about me or any player, I will not hesitate to BAN you for life!!

I don't care what he/she did/didnt do bla bla bla crap, there is no excuse to talk like that to staff or another player.

Ok guys, thats my rant, i do have to say i had a great time thou.

pretty spot on the money though. some guys take it way to seriously.

Ill give you an example. At the old spot in gawler on monday night, a certain nameless player was dealt it, and nearly folded before he realised he had to put a big blind out. Ok fair enough, he kept his cards, because he didnt actually fold them. but then he proceeded to shoot his mouth off to the table when they only flat called him instead of raising. he said, something along the lines of u guys are gonna get a bad beat and generally made out like he was top SH*T.

Flop comes 10 junk, junk. this player quickly announces all in, and the look on his face was priceless when two players called him instantly.

There was a bit of action after that, but he turns over 10 3!!!
the second players turns over 10 2, with the pot taken down by 88 who hit trips on the turn. the guy that was shooting his mouth off was knocked out, with the other player just surviving.

the thing that really got me was once he was knocked out, he started laying into the player verbally with the 88 saying how bad a call it was, and generally giving the impression that he thought the other players were donks.

BUT why put all ur chips in on top pair, after you have said to the table that u have crap cards? and then be a tool about it when they call u? thats a pretty donk move to me

some people just need to get over thenselves. if they are that good, then they should be on the WPT, not fun, friendly, pub poker.

Sorry, thats my rant, but i dont feel like starting work yet, so...

I've heard a lot of stories of people getting angry at other players for calling their bluffs, or their raises in general.

yeah that is not the only one. if i had a dollar.

my strategy is that if i get knocked out, grin and bear it, take it like a man, then once i get home, break down and cry like a little girl. After that i usually blow off some steam on full tilt, and lose all of the gains i made the night before when i was actually playing properly. lol my bankroll has been pretty constant for about the last month (since NPL came back actually ) because i tilt on full tilt! at least i havent lost any money

Totally agree with the trash talking section, thats unacceptable!!
