Already in the rules. What venue and who was the TD?
You have to understand that a lot of TD's are under prepared to deal with intoxicated patrons. In circumstances like this it is best for you to approach venue staff, or get the TD to do it, and ask them to remove the intoxicated player.
I cannot do much about this nor train staff correctly in procedures if noone alerts me to problem venues or where staff are lacking.

Its always bound to happen, im sure weve all been on tables with "drunken idiots" before sure its annoying, but its not really the TD's fault. Most drunks aren't really that bad when they rego , but i have seen TD's keep a close eye on players that are pretty close and even kickd them out when they've been that bad

and like Garth said approach the venue staff and get them to keep an eye on them or cut them off and get them to leave

That's a good point lizi.

I had the mispleasure recently of seeing a paro clown, who rocked up paro, attempt to play.

It's not the TD's fault that he's currently powerless to do anything (doesn't mean he didn't want to) and it's certainly not his fault that the venue continued to serve him more booze RIGHT up until closing time. Well done geniuses. This particular venue actually had 'security' as well.

They can now get stuffed :)

sounds good to me. sometimes its hard to ask a drunk dude to calm down though, this usually makes them more agressive! i nearly witnessed a drugged out loser get his head kicked in when he started abusing another guy across the table at the aussie millions satellite! the other guy was about to jump over the table! LOL

Trust me this is honestly the hardest part of our job, and as the cougar has said there are so many diferent sort of drunks out there. If you come across this situation alert the TD its only a matter of time before the drunk does numerous rule breaches and that gives us all the power to remove them from the game. Remember cards can be filled by buying meals as well

bobmarley...no, sorry.

My biggest concern was not what the TD could/could not do. It was the venue not only serving, but continuing to serve an obviously paro person alcohol. There was very nearly a flow on effect.

Perhaps the bar staff at the venue in question need reminding just who gets in trouble should something happen. Really wasn't impressed. Other than that it's a nice place to play poker, so this is why I'm not mentioning where it was.
