Well the second season state finals have come to a close after what was a very long day of poker at the Port Club. For those of you that don't yet know, I'd like to extend my congratulations to
Michael Wilkinson for walking away from the long day with the win! I unfortunately didn't stick around to see the final table, so if anyone was there and can recount the final table action please do so.
I'd also like to congratulate our very own Pete "Origami Master" AC for fighting hard to make it to the second hand of the day before being completely wiped out in an all in. Great work Pete!
And last, but not least (well maybe

), I'd very much like to thank all the NPL staff for organizing and running the entire day as smoothly as they did for the number of people they had coming through the doors to get some finals poker action. Great effort guys and girls on a well run tournament. We all appreciate the fact that for so many hours all you could do was watch the cards being dealt, not play, and put up with the teams token cripple praising how cold the beer was!
And for all those that didn't make it to this final, keep those poker faces on because the third season is almost into it's second week and it's just ten weeks long! Let me tell you, there's nothing like playing in a huge crowd with massive stacks!
