Hey All!

Congrats to Des (one of the forums greatest contributors) for Knocking out Dakota and claiming the $500 Cash Bounty!

Congrats to all other players who made claim to a bounty by knocking out one of the other dozen marked staff. (Especially Thuy Tran - She knocked out Tony Wood, our fantatic venue manager for the $100 bounty and then went on to WIN!!)

Also a HUGE thanks to Tony Wood and the great staff at the Pooraka FC who helped soo much to get this idea off the ground, Tony greatly appreicated everyone that voted for his venue to be the place of the event and for all those others who rave about the club in the venue section of this site.

Also thanks to all the NPL staff that chipped in and helped get things going it was great turn out of staff for the event (I could'nt even find a TA because everyone wanted to play, thank god Garth jusmped in!!) Thanks as well to the Old Geezer for the NW, he drummed up a great bit of NE/NW rivallry which was great for the day, I just hope his players don't leave him to come play with us after seeing how hard we rock down at Pooraka

Just for the record...... 181 Runners, THAT IS A RECORD, biggest regular free roll event the NPL has seen to date knocking of the previous record held by Roulettes Tavern 169 (Suck is Darren, this Records going to stand! Nathan & Garth)

Special thanks to the guys (the regulars of the Pooraka) It was fantastic you guys helping with the pack up and set up of the tables made a big job easy with all your help. Much appreciated!

One Last thanks and that would have to be for the man himself. Dakota! It was his own money that he put up for grabs and it was his passion for the NPL and his work that got 181 players together for what was an absolutly awsome day off poker. We'll be putting our thinking caps on now and hopefully come up with another great idea for our next big event!

Fantastic day, thoroughly enjoyed myself and as always Tony and the staff at Pooraka FC did a top notch job, was great to see them come out on top in the poll and just as great to see them prove they deserved it.

Top stuff also to Nathan and Garth who ran things very smoothly and well done Dakota for making yourself available for such a fun day.

Would love to see an event like this on a semi-regular basis...maybe quarterly? The massive turn out showed the players love it!

Thanks to all the NPL guys and the Pooraka footy club for such a great day (and a cracker of a hangover today).

Great bunch of people and an excellent set up at the club, really enjoyed the day to thanks to you all.
