Last NPL Game for Ricky

I know I am hijacking a public forum for a personal message (sorry), but it is the easiest way to reach all those who I have grown to love (and hate) at all the NPL games I have played over the last 2 seasons.
It is with much sadness that I must say farewell to NPL poker. I am moving to Sydney at the beginning of 2008 to what will be a very demanding and time-consuming new role that will not permit me the time to play pub poker. So I am retiring from playing NPL for good at the end of this season (unless by some miracle I make State Finals and am still in Adelaide on the day).
I know I shall miss very much the fun I have had regularly at the Goodwood Park, Strathmore, Bridgewater Inn, Studio 89, Woolshed on Hindley, Cathedral Hotel and the Windsor. I also enjoyed some of my cameo games at the Hahndorf Old Mill, Holdfast, the West Adelaide Football Club, the Bombay Bicycle Club, the Highway and the Hilton. Of course, how can I forget going once and once only to the Lobethal, Modbury Plaza and Red Square and taking away the dust collector! They are all excellent venues and I commend them to you all most highly, if you have not been there.
Of course, it is not the poker but the people that I have enjoyed and shall miss the very most. That is not to say I have not enjoyed the poker - which is excellent (except for the need for some donkey culling) -but what drags me out of my office and my home until crazy hours of the morning is the fun people I get to hang out with.
My last regular game will be on Sunday, 23 December 2007, at the Studio 89 in Prospect. I shall be delighted if I get to see all of you who I have played with regularly would join me for a meal and drink or six as well as a good fun tournament. As a Christmas incentive, I shall donate $5.00 cash for each player (and NPL staff) who shows up and play, up to a maximum of $250.00, to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Hope to see you all there for my last regular NPL poker game!
