A2 > AJ, thanks a lot double points december

I was coming 4th at the dublin, but with double points december I really needed to place in the last game. Middle stages of the tournament, I have about 6k in chips and the blinds have gone up to 600/300. Fold, fold, limp, fold to me on the button, I look down at AJ, the limper has been limping all manner of junk. I push my 6k in. Blinds fold, limper hesitates..., limper calls his whole stack which was around 6k as well. Limper shows an ace, I show an ace. Limper shows a 2, all our jaws drop... if you have ever seen ivey with his eyes and mouth wide open after some terrible play thats what I must have looked like... 2 on the turn. And state final hopes are dashed.

OR blame DD promo for implying that you shouldn't be aiming to place every week anyway :P

AJ still isn't a pair, and it's still marginal. Obviously I don't know the full circumstances, but it does seem like a loose push.

Phil Ivey is even doing the disapproving look. 70/30 Is never a good flip.

Pushed for 10x the BB vs a LAGer

Crazy. Going to get called by better hands or people that feel Lucky.

Is it really that bad a play?

Holding AJ you want any worse A to come along for the ride.

If he is loose passive then I am thrilled with him stacking off against me with a weaker Ace in that situation.

Unlike my run in the Sunday Millions yesterday where I had every freak calling station hit their gut shot on the river.

Four 8%'s, on the river, in a row will kill you in a tournament.

The last hand was my fault though as i let my laggy opponent keep on betting into me when i was holding TPTK, unfortunately I should have pushed him on the turn (and was going to) but wanted the extra value and I just did not see him hitting his gutshot. God I was angry with myself I called his re raise all in on the river like some noob.

My game has gone to shite.

Everyone's said what I was going to add. Can't blame DD for that, it's just a sucky beat.

Pete,

AJ push std in that spot from the button after a single loose player has limped. I can't believe you would advocate limping in such a situation.

Also I had Jason Thomas and Martin Schubert in the blinds.

You playin the Sunday Million next week Garth? What's your username?

I'll be playing my first Sunday Million (and warmup or 2nd chance) next week since I have 32000 FPPs to spend and finally get a Monday off.

0.25/0.5 omaha rules for FPPs!

No won't be playing next week.

Don't get much of a chance to play online and I really suck at the moment, can't find my groove. LOL.

Prefer not to disclose my user handle for Stars on a public forum. I won't be playing online or live again till possibly Aussie Millions but definitely Melbourne Champs or Joe Hachem Deepstack Series.

Poker is becoming a hobby for me right now and I need to reeducate myself AGAIN.

My game is too loose, I'm impatient I'm not making +EV plays and I'm looking to dish bad beats rather than play Laggy or TAG poker depending on the situation.

Look for Suckoutmgnet, XR6GK34, AAOutdraw, bishop44 or monkeyhead.
All usernames I use on multiple sites.
