You may not believe this Toddy, but Putty definately deserves to be there for the way he has played this season.

I tell you what, if there was a most improved award, this man would win it. He has massively tightened the range of hands, and no longer goes on tilt when he loses a hand.

Ill give you an example.

Putty holding Kx Tx on the button calls. There are 3 players including Fred Fuller.

Flop comes Ad Jd Qx.

Fred leads out for 200, to which putty raises to 1200. (great play i think)

Fred calls.

Turn comes Xx, Fred checks and Putty bets 1000.

Fred calls.

River comes 5d. Fred betts 500 and Putty calls.

Fred shows 8d 6d.


See if any hand was going to put a player on tilt, then this one might have been it. Instead, Putty says 'oh well, nice hand' and gets back to business. He ended up final tabling.


A year ago there would have been chips out the window me thinks.




And yes i didn't make it. I could spout some crap about 3 or 4 bad beats throughout the season, but i didn't really play well enough, and the people in the top 5 certainly deserve to be there. But ill be back bigger and better than ever.

Does that mean we are related bacon, I married Robbies daughter and so i am proud to call him dad.


Ps :- I second Maccatacks thoughts on putty, I would play the Putster at least once a week for the past 12 months and always enjoyed taking his skittles, this season he has made huge leaps foward where his regular playing mates are standing still or going backwards.
More amunition to state this case would be the waikerie shed games which putty has always dontated to but never collected, last night he collected the skittles over 14 players 4 of which are state final experienced, he is one to watch, if he keeps his Sh*t together and doesnt go back on permanent tilt

problem is I did not play enough games at any of my local riverland venues to make a serious challenge to the top 5 anywhere.

This season has resulted in more of a tussel with AD for 2nd spot on the riverland leaderboard, but there is daylight between Ian H on top sopt and Adam and Myself I hold a slender 0.4 lead over Adam.

With 4 venues left to decide the final standings Adam and I will play all venues this week, it will be like playing head to head because we will looking over our sholders to see where the other one is.

I still have a very rough chance to make State via the state leaderboard but the that will take some very strong finishes in the next 5 days to acheive it, I would say my chances range are about 100/1+.

But I do have a seat to Sky City.
