One Good Win Makes a Difference

This season I was only going to play a few games at my home venue and Sunday games at Renmark enough to qualify for the regional final and I had planned to play some different venues like my visit to Parafield Gardens and Capt Prouds Paddleboat just to learn how other players play, I had no plans to make state final for this season.

Who would think 10 days ago that I was on the verge of top 50 on the state leaderboard.

I have played 14 games so far with an average of 38.09, even if my 15th game is a 10 point DNP I would have an average of 36.22 placing me around 35th.

I have had an incredible run this last 2 weeks a win at my home venue on tuesday night, then down to Berri for the friday night game before the deep stack, a goose egg at Renmark Sunday afternoon, 8th my home venue again and last night a visit to Barmera results in another win.

However there is room for improvement in my percentage due to the 5 DNP's in the games played, the foundation for the appearence in the top 50 was the win with 154 runners at the Berri.

I now have a renewed vigor to acheive my entry to the state final via the leaderboard rather than a venue and to make the top 4 in the Region.

One good win makes a difference.

He knows that, Des. He's just saying that with everyone playing 5-6 games a week with 60 runners or more, there's going to be more chance of higher points, ie: a better placing on the state leaderboard.

Its very hard for anyone not in the city to place well in the state leaderboard. Although, I played 37 games last season and finished 62nd, I was pretty happy with that.

And JJ is doing well this season, a few weeks ago she told me she was 18th.

I picked up 117 points for that Berri tourney, and that has made a huge difference to my average - all gundog needs now is 14 games around the 40point mark and he'll end up with an average of over 50. That should/might scrape him into the top 50. Should be doable, even in the sticks :D

I reckon I'm in the running to make it via the leaderboard. Nods. Killer number of players for the Berri regular game though... kudo's for taking it, and the points, down.
