SkyCity 11 seat satellite held 15/11/2007

Hi Guys,
I was one of 4 NPL players to win a free seat in the above $300 buy-in 11 seat Satellite.We competed against 7 other paying "professionals".We started with $3500 in chips. After about 40 minutes I finally hit a hand (pocket 10s), one of the loud mouth "pros" had commented that there was no respect at the table (meaning that the NPL players had taken most of his chips). The hand was raised pre-flop $300 and our "pro" reluctantly called,which when it was my turn, I re-raised $600, much to the disgust of our "pro".....reluctantly he called. The "Flop" came 10,6,3 (mixed suits).The others checked,when it came my turn, I checked (with trip 10s in hand).The "Turn" came 6.This was checked by our "pro". I raised him "All-in". again reluctantly he called. The "river" was 2....no help to anyone. When asked by the Dealer to reveal cards I showed Full house 10s and 6s, Our "pro" stood up and threw his cards in the "Muck" and stormed off !!!

As he was leaving the area I suggested that he should perhaps show respect to "NPL" players in future !!!

Foot note: I managed to run 4th and took out 4 "pros" along the way. This was a most enjoyable event and proves that NPL players can hold thier own against those trying to make money from Poker.
