Season 2 State Finals - my wrap.

Well, another season is officially put to bed. Congratulations to Des Herbert on a well fought win & to Scott, Nathan, Tony, Voula, Adrian, Gareth & Ryan who also made the final table. Truly a supreme effort amongst such a large & talented field.
But the real reason for this post is to offer my praise & congratulations to a few of the NPL staff involved.
Firstly to Garth. Kudos mate! Yet another SF run to standards that I'm sure can only be dreamt of by the opposition & even the other NPL states. I don't think a lot of people understand the logistical nightmare that goes into planning these events & this man comes through with flying colours each & every time. Always on top of the game & directing the team with precision at all times. Yet again, awesome work & you will be missed by all!
Secondly to the "blue shirts" of the day. Suzie K, Moose & Andre. Not only did they have to assist in all the pre-tournament organisation & preparation but they had to make sure everything ran smoothly for tourny staff & players on the day. The fact that there were almost no issues or problems on Sunday is a testament to the job that these three did. They didn't stop all day, moving tables & chairs, organising 100's of chip stacks, sorting decks, bagging & tagging & every other job you did & didn't see, big & small. The tourny staff & players didn't have to worry about any of the logistics of the day because these guys had it under control from start to finish. Well done, I applaud your effort & thanks for making it such a great day.
And to all of the staff invloved, Garth, Suzie, Moose, Andre, Dakota, Nathan, Joey, Nick, Sean, Vincent, Alex, Ida, Brock, Annabelle & Grant (sorry if I forgot someone!), thanks for making it such an enjoyable day. I love the finals. Seeing all my players that have fought through the season to make it, catching up with players that I haven't seen for a while & having a laugh with friends.
So do me a favour, next time you see these guys running your event or sitting next to you trying to bluff you out of your stack, I hope you take a minute to thank them for all the hard work they put in all the time. We all do this job because we love what we do & we wouldn't have it any other way.
Cheers guys,
Tim.
