How long does it take your TD to get results up?

Postby G__ » Tue Nov 13, 2007 1:45 pm

Some venues do it first thing the next morning and others almost a week!

Whats the actual process? Whose fault is it if its slow?

I'm still waiting on Grand results from last Thursday for example. Poor.

u should not be waiting a week for results, they should be updated at the latest 48 hrs after the event happened

i do mine the minute i get home from the game to ensure that the players can view leaderboards asap, Ash is right that we are required to have all results posted within 48 hours of the completion of the game

Darren often has the results up before I even get home from the venue!

And I live within 10 mins of most of the North East ones!

Nathan however....is shocking :!:
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

The Geezer Alex generally has them up by 9.42am the next day.

Is it just a matter of syncing the laptop with the npl website?

the process is quite simple
1:enter finishing positions 1- 16
2:do a event report
3:sync the resluts

all sounds fairly easy, but please understand that sometimes simple problems can delay results such as internet issues, software updates and other little glitches that may pop up. If results are not posted within 48 hours due to laziness we will recieve a rather nasty phone call from Garth

We do have a rule in place that results must be synched within 24 hours. As I was working at SkyCity this weekend and took Monday and Tuesday off it was quite difficult for me to stay on top of this. But I am quite pleased to say that out of our 135+ events only the Grand was not synched in time.
If I notice a result has not being synched within the allocated time, I will contact the TD directly either via phone call or text, and they're not that nasty thanks Mat, and if the results are not synched by the end of day the TD is now fined.
Sorry for the inconvenience and delay but sometimes, as mentioned above, there are errors and glitches and it does take some time for these results to be "fixed".
