Personal hygiene

Another thing that interests me is:

How much should we as players have to put up with in regards to other players personal hygiene?

Recently I played another game.. (Yes.. I admit, I play far too much, LOL  )..
Blah blah blah game.. and there was another player that was there that stunk!! I mean he reeked, it actually smelt like he was a walking fart. (That being a kind way of describing him).

Well I couldn't stand it and spent the next 10 mins in the ladies throwing up, (weak stomachs are a bitch).

Should we have to endure this kind of lack of consideration?
Should we be able to request this player not be allowed to play?
What is the TD's responsibility in regards to this kind of problem?

Maybe I am just being a princess... but having said that, he did play at another place the week before and there was another lady at his table that was just as disgusted by his stench.

Anyway, I have rabbited on enough, I just like to put thoughts out there, backed up by experience to see if I am just being precious.

Thanks for reading again.

Bloody hell Nevah, if we keep this up your gonna have to move in with me and the missus.

I'm pretty sure I know who you mean as there couldn't be two of them playing NPL Venues. But, then again I might be wrong. Anyway, I think you should bring it to the TD's attention.

We had a similar situation out my way and the person in question was made very aware by our TD that their body odour was really offensive to fellow players. And I agree it was so bad you wanted to vomit.

The following week the person in question smelt like Palmolive soap and after-shave and were actually wearing cleaner clothes. Unfortunately, it only lasted for a couple of venues and they were their old stinking selves again.

So, all you can do is ask your TD to say something on the side so as not to embarrass the person you are refering to Hun, regards Bob B

LMAO Bob...
I am packing the soap and deoderant as we type...

The bloke ended up getting thrown out because (long story short) he was agressive, swearing, drunk and threw a punch at the TD.
(Who I personally believe is the most unpunchable bloke ever... he is a very good TD and seems to be a top bloke, (we never really know each other really, really personally))

So I suspect he won't be back anytime soon.

But it still doesn't stop me wondering if I should have said anything before he even got the chance to sit down.

You would have laughed because one of the other players came up to me and handed me a huge can of air freshener... I just about fell on the ground laughing.....

Hi again Nevah. The person in my story wasn't agressive they just stunk!!!!!!!

You may notice that I am refraining from saying him or her so as not to embarrass the person in question by identifying their sex.
