OK guys, after much thought, debate & disputing I have decided to put forward my recommendation for an overhaul of the hand ranking system. I believe this can only be of benefit to our wonderful game.

High Card

1 Pair

2 Pair

3 Of-A-Kind

3 Pair

Str__ght

Straight

Hi-Lo Straight

Frush

Flush

Full House

Packed House

4 Of-A-Kind

Straight Flush

Royal Flush


Had also considered the 4 card straight...but that was just silly.

In Addition: Most split pots would become redunadant as the highest kicker will take down the pot.

So if the board shows

and the players had
and

then the King would play & take the pot.

If these changes help just one person in the poker community then I feel we've have made a step in the right direction.

May you all "flop the nuts" (or..in the case of some of the new hands...turn the nuts)

I did consider the 4 card flush but thought that the suit ranking would be just too hard to remember for some players.

What about the 6 card straight?

Stupidest idea i have ever heard, u do that to a great game in your NPL tournaments and u have lost ur self a regular player of NPL.

If you're sick of the bog standard hand rankings, just duck over to Tasmania, where flushes outrank 4 of a kind.
