Re: Berri Deepstack Discussion Thread (No Rego's here)
there was no home town advantage. Timmy is regional champ and there are games every night of the week. We play alot of poker here, if its 888 games, its home cash games or online play.
All of us who played play together, have fun and enjoi ourselves. We all seem to help each other, discuss our wrong doings ect.
The only advantage really would be that we are a tight knitt group who play a lot and support each other where possible.

I think there is some sort of home field advantage.
I didn't go but I have a little theory.
Locals - didn't pay for accommodation, transport etc... thus if they bust out, it isn't a huge deal.
City slickers - pay decent money for accom., transport... thus subconsciously play tighter and more cautiously.
So the locals and play a lot more risk free because if they bust out early it isn't a big deal. I know people will say they come up for the experience and the holiday but be honest... a lot of people will be saying "I didn't come all this way, and spend this money to bust out early".
