Teams Event... the sequel?

I'd love to see another one held. The atmosphere at the Palais for the inaugural event was nothing like any other event - almost a carnival atmosphere. In what is normally an individual game, the thrill of barracking for your team mates when there is something tangible riding on their play for you as well, makes it a wholly unique event.

As silly as it sounds, actually reminded me (for those who cared) of sports day - everyone trying to do their best and also looking out for more points their team got.

Felt the same to me, except I did well at Sports Day and I did horrible at the Teams Event.

Food was better than Sports Day though.

Oh how I loved Sports Day. How I loved being picked as the captain in my final year at primary school (Yr 7), then leading the team to victory - the first time a different team other than Red had won in the past 4 years.

But yeah Teams Events, lets go! I was reading through the old forums and noticed how everyone loved it so much that I just assumed (like Berri) that another one would be happening next time. But... we haven't heard anything so I thought I'd gauge everyone's interest.

The teams event, just like the Deepstack event, was an idea that came up on the forum. The NPL took both ideas and ran with them, and both were huge successes.

Hats off (yet again, my arm's getting tired) to Garth and the NPL.

Scotty, yeah im on a damn roll with posting watch out cause I will try and talk as much crap as anyone else lol.

I say nothing wrong with another one at the palais as the viewing from above was awsome and the things that went wrong (if there was any) should be sorted out this time around. I say BRING ON MORE BIG EVENTS!

well, everyone knows that i am that good at poker, that a bad beat is the only way i ever get knocked out of a tournament!!! LOL

lol you should have heard aaron and i talking about every hand we have ever played on the 4 hours total we spent driving up and back lol i reckon aaron knows my entire poker history
