you can't have hold card cameras, and have it shown live

but having a camera just so as spectators, we could see the flop a bit easier, that would be pretty easy to do i would think

They used a flop cam at the SkyCity events.

for those of us that stayed around to watch the final table, it was awesome to watch (i absoultely loved it), but there were times where the flop wasn't commentated by garth or nathan or dakota, so we really didn't know what was going on unless we stood up and took a step or two forward to see the cards.

so a flop cam would be really good, and would keep people around/interest/spending more money on that sunday evening

Yeah for sure, I said the exact same thing before we left sunday. A camera on a tripod hooked up to a second projector just to show whats happening with the game would be awsome and seem like a full on main event.

i thought i saw one there, but i got knocked out of my satellite before the final table, and didn't stick around to see it actually working.

do you think it added to the spectacle?

We made $0 from this event ladies and gents, and we are an events company.

Where would these miraculous funds appear from to hire these gadgets you speak of?

lol

There are a lot of ideas in this thread that are already planned for a State Final extravaganza towards the end of this year. More details will be available at a much later date.

Also something to contemplate is that we had a skeleton crew of five staff members working for over 20 hours over the whole weekend, the less we have to pack up at the end of two days the better!!!

Yeah I was joking about the hole card cameras, people

But a running commentary (or a camera) would be nice for the FT.

Unless you count the people who pitched in on Friday arvo ;)

The staff involved did a seriously good job managing a tournament such as this. Nathan's commentary throughout the 2 days was a highlight of mine :D

Maybe you should've bet on the horses like I did, and won $50! :)

There's enough computer geeks :ugeek: on this site that probably have home theatre systems that they would happily lend for nix. ;)
