if won 10K, i would probably keep 1000 or so as a poker bankroll for online or casino tourneys and try to build it from there, and the rest would go off the mortgage!

I've heard that comment a couple of times on the forum lately.
I wonder how many people stop to do the math - 5+ games a week x $25
Hmmm. I personally don't do it often enough
5 games per week? Nuh uh - i barely afford 2 games a week at the moment

the trip for sure, i you get accomodation and a flight there as well dont you and a few dollars spending money, the experience would make you live again, money is the root of all evil, never the money $10,000 comes and goes if it was $100,000 i'd think about it, $10,000 no doubt i would refuse for a seat
I'm gonna take over the world

I know this is off topic, but Finno's avatar is quite possibly THE most awesome thing on the internet, ever. Congrats.
Oh and I'd take the money. Entry into one tournament is nice, but one bad beat and you could going home poor. Take the money, split it into multiple buy ins to smaller-stakes tournament and minimise the effect random acts of chance have on your profit. Plus you could buy other stuff. Or just enjoy the novelty of having a 5 digit bank balance for once
