I lasted about 2 and a half hours until I got smashed with none other than my favourite hand in the end! Only just missed out on the recombine!

Pushed all in with AsKs mid position (10,500) and got a caller from behind the button. He showed me his Ad5c and I had to laugh as I thought I was good.

On the turn he hits his 5.......damn that A5!

And that was the end of my finals run!

Seriously, who calls a 10,500 raise with A5? :x

You do Vic, you do.

Although I do have some sympathy for you this time. Spades are clearly the best and deserved to win.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

AK, you could learn a lot from this man. He knows how to play the nuts!

Would you believe Caleb, I folded A9s twice at States, and would've scooped both times. You need to teach me the ways of A9, sir.

Good god. The first time wasn't a lesson in itself???

This story is like a train wreck. Painful to see and hear about yet I can't look away....

Edit: Before anyone gets the wrong idea, this is just some friendly ribbing. Don't want this to be received as anything other than what it is. (Not refering to you AK)

LOL.....first of all I would never call 10,500 with A5, especially at states!

I would consider it with a 2000 raise but nothing more

Secondly, it goes to show you again that A5 always wins, even though it was against me in this situation
