You can't be serious Luke?
Have you ever considered how many people come into contact with the cards and chips in a single tournament??
They may have come straight from work or have a cold or just lack in personal hygene or cleanliness. Let alone the unthinkable I don't wash my hands after I've been to the toilet people whilst at a venue??
I would really like to think that by the end of each week that NPL insists that their TD's be required to clean the chips and cards purely for the purpose of good hygenic practice.
For some of the TD's who have a huge NPL work load I suppose it's hard to find the time and there's those who also have a regular job plus NPL.
So, maybe there should be a way that they can exchange cards and chips that have been cleaned or maintained via NPL. In some cases we have had the same cards for more than one season!!!
Take an 80 seat tourney as an example.
80 people go to the toilet at least once and say 50% may was their hands.
The same 80 buy food and and some may use a serviette during the meal and afterwards go and wash their hands.
Others will just drink to card up and some will continue to drink throughout the night. More pit stops less hand washing.
Some people I shake hands with before or during the course of the game have wet clammy hands.
Others turn up with runny bloody noses or slobber all over the place, spill their drinks, don't wash after the toilet or are just plain unhygenic!!!!
And the cycle continues, we all touch the cards, the chips, the vinyl and felt on the tables every time we enter a tournament. Makes you wanna think a little hey, but I'm sure we will all be there the next time someone says "shuffle up and deal", won't we????
So here's my qeerie to the NPL management, is there a standard proceedure put down by NPL management regarding the cleaning of Poker chips and or regular replacement of cards??
