Nevah,
We re issue decks of cards every season. Chips falling apart?? Never heard of that one. Who are the TD's that need equipment replaced?
ALK,
We have over 60 staff operating in SA, how many of them would you say you have been in contact with?

Chips falling apart, probably the fact some look like someone got a tad hungry and took a small nibble out of one!!

Let me run through the list.
- Shannon
- Dakota
- Matty Norwood
- Darren
- Andre Tomic (regional finals)
- Your lovely self
- Brock (he's not SA though, is he? Still a good bloke).
- Suzie
- Moose (love the hair, man)
- Steve (has recently started filling in for Darren at the Willaston, Wednesdays and Sundays)
- Tom (has recently started filling in for Darren at the Willaston, Wednesdays and Sundays)
- Matty (young bloke)
- And in passing, five or so at state finals.
Apart from Andre, I've met all of the above staff members more than three times (Brock twice). With the exception of young Matty, who seems a tad out of his depth, NPL staff in SA are great.
Apologies if I've forgotten anyone.

Re: NPL needs an overhaul
So let's get some staff to have their say on relaxing the tournament structure. What are their thoughts on increasing the start stack to $1,500 and expanding blind lengths by five minutes.
We still need to have two breaks in the structure and their duration might need to be changed as well.
We will be introducing a different tournament structure for events with under 25 runners. This will see an increased chip redemption amount for passports as well as a slightly more relaxed blind structure.
In terms of promotions, what else would player's like to see?
We will be running a SkyCity Satellite towards the end of next system.
We will also be introducing a player of the week promotion.
These have not been finalized just yet but we hope to have a final answer this Friday.

Re: NPL needs an overhaul
i know this is probably more a venue thing, but i reckon it would be awesome to have a board up in the pub that shows the season champions (sort of like what would happen for a football/cricket club)
that would be cool. (maybe something could be organised through NPL to make this happen easier)
in regards to your suggestion of 1500 stack and slightly more relaxed blinds, i think i like it. but as i have said on here before, dont make it too late as this would stop poeple coming on a weeknight.
personally, with the promotions, i think that one event like the sky city, where players have to qualify via winning a tournament or some other method, and one "special" event like the teams event or the big stack per season is pretty decent.
i think keeping these special events open to everyone is good as well, as it allows the regular joe to get involved in more than just the one night a week at the pub.

I like the idea of a SkyCity Satellite. Will that be like previous seasons, where to qualify you have to win at a venue one night (over 4 weeks)?
Player of the week sounds interesting - best finishes over a week, or will it be more personalised? For example, say a beginner, in their first tournament finishes 4th from 80 runners - would that take precedence over a professional winning a tournament with 40 runners? And what would be the criteria for winning such an award - each region, or statewide? Will there be prizes, or just the adulation of being "Player Of The Week"?
I would like to see tickets to freerolls come back. Like I said above, winning at a venue gets you entry to a Sky City/Aussie millions game. Incentives like that definitely bring in runners - no matter what point of the season we're at. I miss that from season 1.
