I heard many people say just that last night. If Shannon is fired, I'll be considering it. At least, her venues.

and just the tone of his post was that the NPL is in the wrong with no one knowing the whole story.

Yeah, I agree. No one knows the full story. If Shannon did something bad, I'd be right behind NPL supporting them, but until I know the full story, I'll hold judgement.

I can't imagine Shan doing something wrong, but who knows. Maybe she's decided not to work for NPL anymore... Full story needed, but probably not going to be forecoming.

ok des, i was definitely not attacking NPL or something like that - very easy to get your back up isnt it?

what i was saying was, in my 3 seasons of NPL, 90% of the poker games i have played have been with shannon as TD. i have found no reason that she wouldn't be promoted, let alone be sacked, so i am just shocked if this is in fact the case.

if she has done something wrong, then NPL is right and i would support this - but i havent heard anything except for this forum.

He's just being passionate about his favourite TD.

I am sorry to disappoint you gentlemen but Shannon has been removed from duties.
After a discussion this past weekend with a couple of senior staff, it was decided that it might be best to let Shannon go.
This was strictly an operational decision and rests solely with me. The reasons will not be listed here and is up to Darren and Shannon to discuss these if they wish to.
Do understand that I know of Shannon's popularity and knew we would face a consumer backlash on this decision, from both players and some venues. This decision was not made lightly nor is it made for any ridiculous reason, this is the one decision I did not enjoy making and wish I was not put into this position by player's and staff.
Shannon will be sorely missed, as one of the most active staff members constantly promoting venues and NPL on this site and been very popular with players.
I am now prepared for the backlash.
