If this is indeed right, it's worth the drive to Gawler.

What is their capacity, BM?

yep thats right. $3.30 for a pint of coke, $5.10 for a pint of beer, nor sure about other prices, thats all i drink

but if they do the right thing by you, then everyone doesnt mind forking out for a few more drinks. and usually my spare 2 bucks goes in the pokies as a donation :D

the kingsford in gawler on a thursday night also has the same policy. and they are getting 90 runners. pretty sure they wouldnt get those numbers without stampint people up.

in addition, the willaston hotel on wed and sunday also have a good stamping policy, and while not quite as generous as the other two places, still a very nice venue to play. (how many places have a seperate poker room with water features)

so the long and the short of it is that the gawler pubs are awesome to play poker at, both in the standard of the players, and the standard of thier company. all u city folk should come and give it a try.

In summary:

Monday: Old Spot - 35 runners, easily get 50-60 in there -single drink gets all ur cards

Wednesday: Willaston Hotel, gets just over 50, probably get max 70 in the room - probably cost u 15 bucks for full stamp up at the very most.

Thursday: Kingsford Hotel - gets 90 runners, pretty packed but a good place to chase points and have a cheap night out - all ur cards stamped for a single drink also

Sunday: Willaston Again - 40 odd runners

PS Shannon and Matt u owe me 20 bucks for this advertising!

You say they are getting around 90 runners .. how many can the Kingsford go to before it reaches critical mass?

well 90 is with a few reserves already.

pretty sure its 10 tables with one of them being the final table, so that allows for 82 seated runners at any one time. TD matty might wanna confirm this, but that was my count the other day.

i will stand corrected on this if i am wrong though.

To bring the discussion back to the Thread Title (see other previous threads.... )

Where should everyone play on a Monday Night??

The Old Spot, Gawler

Forget Thursdays for now - although don't forget the new venue - Cavan, brilliant meals and service and PRICES.

Monday Monday Monday = The Old Spot

With the funkiest, modestest TD,

benny the cunt pretty much covered it, Gawler is awesome for NPL. The Kingsford with 90 already has about 5 reserves. At that level, Matt has to shove players in another room - so there can't be much more room for anymore. That shouldn't stop you from coming down, though!

I've got to agree that the Willaston is all kinds of awesome, great service, good prices for meals/drinks and that tropic setting... I feel like I'm in Hawaii or something. Just don't try to take me on Wednesday's :D

That's funny, yet so true. She actually says that 3-4 times a night.

"Yeah, shut up, lets get back to me..."
