1 problem though.
The showcase event - Final Table of the State Finals - Late on a Sunday Night?
Everybody went home.
Gotta work tomorrow.
Saturday Night and everybody's keen to stay back and have a look at how the best in the state play, maybe go the Casino after.
But Sunday?
No other complaints, it was great to see the Tournaments staffed well than under staffed.

Good point - a final table on a Saturday night is a good idea.

The good thing is, we now know for sure that Garth and Co. are receptive to feedback, so keep the ideas coming!
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I am allowed to have one night off a week where I blow off steam. And a few bourbons never hurt to dull the pain of the numerous support emails from the thousands of adoring NPL fans.
We more than likely will trial a Saturday Final at some stage but a lot of people do have commitments, be it work, sporting or social, on a Saturday. Bear in mind too that if we had a venue large enough to seat all qualifiers at once the final table would probably commence at around 8pm, at the latest.

Well i must say I thought both the venues on the Saturday and Sunday did a great effort! As did all the NPL staff. Well done.

re: separating the regional qualifiers, the only problem there is that it seemed that the regional qualifiers in both the Millions and the State Final were of much lesser standard on average.
Dont discuss NPL rules, TDs are never wrong. EVER!

Hi G,

Not sure I understand your post... you said regional qualifiers are a lesser standard than average?

Not sure what you are trying to say.

For a start.. the Aussie Millions was a tournament winner... which meant anyone who had a lucky night could qualify, thus the quality would possibly not be as high as the state finals.

Unsure what you are saying though.. do you mean country players vs city players?
