Re: semi final weekend
Hey ya benny the cunt...
WOW... this is awesome to read, thankyou so much. It is pretty much what I do, but this definately helps with a few issues I have had.
I did have a couple of follow up questions if that is ok:
So in this case, do you mean look like your going to bet, look down at your chips then put one out? or am I missing what you mean here?
Awesome advice, I have tried to do that several times and mostly it has worked to my benefit, unfortunately your always going to get times that your fold was a bad one.
Ok this leads me to another question:
Playing the womens freeroll at the Casino on Thursdays, I often find they can be really easy to push around.
HOWEVER;
They chase everything to the river, so I bet to get rid of them, it fails, I check to the river and they hit. It is so frustrating, is there anything at all I can do to get rid of the passive chasers? (meaning those ones who just call call call and never raise, then hit on the river.

nah, i was basically just trying to say, be aggressive at every opportunity, until they start to adjust.

if they always call, they you shouldn't bluff at all, because it will never work.
in general, betting your drawing hands as a semi bluff is not a good idea, as drawing hands go down in value. things like straight draws and flush draws only hit roughly one third of the time. usually, in order to make profit from these hands, you have to rely on having some fold equity. if you have none (i.e they never fold and always call), then it is no good being aggressive with these sorts of hands. just wait till you have hit and then put the pressure on.
on the other hand, middling hands go up in value. things like top pair marginal kicker, middle pair, bottom 2 pair etc. hands that you would usually only get one or 2 streets of value with, you can now go ahead and bet 3 times, because you know they are going to call down worse.
and bet big too. if you put them on some sort of draw, then make them pay for it. full pot bets, or sometimes even more. but be prepared to slow down when the straight or flush card hits.
it is obviously a mistake for your opponents to call down too light. so make them pay as much as possible for this mistake. sometimes they will hit still of course. but the times when they call twice and then fold will make up for this for the most part.
