As Bacon suggested, you'd be quite surprised how many people "haven't looked" at their cards before pushing. Probably even more surprised to find out that most times, after someone has said that, they uncannily have a pocket pair or a couple of high cards (such as KQ or AJ). Uncanny if you ask me. Uncanny.

Unless you're absolutely 100% sure, as in you've seen them not look yourself, don't believe a word of it. After all, poker is all about deception.

Having said that, BAD, BAD luck on getting taken down. A question to ask yourself here though is, what range of hands did you put them on when they went higher?

Oh and I also have to ask... why didn't you have the foresight to have the K of hearts in your hand? Sheeesh. Silly JJ.

I really REALLY need to stop assuming people are telling the truth.
I realise it is about deception but I just assumed they didn't look when they said they hadn't.

The stupid thing is I didn't put them on any range of cards at all. I was so focused on my Kings.

LMAO... OMG I forgot to do that slight of hand thing!!!
Nahh seriously, I did have the king of diamonds and there was one diamond on the table.. Maybe I should have claimed mini-flush or something?? ;)

I wouldn't say stupid, but you've definately learnt something new there that you can use to develop your game. Just remember to not get too excited about those great starters until you see some more of them on the board ;)

Keep on plugging away though. Maybe next time you'll deliver a one card flush to someone's Aces and you can smile knowing that the universe is once again in balance.
