Great thread idea steve, and good luck in your NFL final.

As for me, got tennis today. Seniors, div 3. We're sitting 2nd on the table, and we've got 3rd today. Who, in our past two encouters, we've only managed to beat by games (every week you play 16 sets, normally scores can be 12-5 [sets], but every time we play this team its always 8-8, 72-68 [games] or something).

So we're hoping to win again today. If we do, we'll have cemented second spot for the finals (and the double chance).

Edit: Well this royally sucks. The other team forfeited today. I don't care that we won, I love playing tennis.

Now this whole day's gonna suck :(

I'm making my soccer debut later today up at Hahndorf. Playing keeper, cos i'm not fit enough to run.

I'll let you know how many I concede.

Edit: - We won 5-3 (2 goals weren't my fault :P )

i play tennis, Div1 in the barossa. Freeling suck, so i am not in the finals for sat tennis, but i think i have won the best player trophy for the team, so at least thats a consolation.

I also play night tennis on a wed night, which we won our first final last week.

big prelim final this week, but i have to go to fremantle for work, so i cant play!! i hope the team wins and makes it through to the grandie, we have a good chance of winning it if we do make it.

I had a big weekend of sport this weekend.
Saturday - Tennis: Played for St Peters in the Eastern Districts Tennis Association - Div 5 Men's Only in the 3v4 elimination final (we finished 3rd just 1 set below 2nd). After the doubles, we were 2 sets a piece with 4 sets of singles to come. #1 and #3 (me) head onto the court. After a marathon, we come away with both sets 9-5 and me 9-7 which set us up for the win. We ended up winning the other 2 sets to win 6-2. Next week we play Norwood or ETKG in the Prelim Final, stay tuned!

Sunday - Touch Football: Played for the Central Scorpions in the Coopers SA State League Competition - Men's Open division in the Grand Final. To set the scene, we finished 3rd in the season and beat 2nd in the Prelim final to come up against the Eastern Stringrays in the final who didn't lose a game all season. Plenty of scoring in the final (~16 TDs) and at the final buzzer, scores are tied so it's drop-off. 5 on 5 and the first to score wins. And they score on their first set of 6 but we get 1 set of 6 to score or we lose. 5th touch comes, we break through from half and tie the scores up!! Next score now wins for sure. Back and forth it goes, 1 played drops off so it's down to 4 on 4. Unfortunately they have it on their line for too long and create a score to win. Heartbreaking stuff

Hi would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that came out to watch my Gridiron grand final. Garth, Suzy, Boof, Ash, Darren, the G family, Ronnie, Longy, Adam, Kev, sorry if I missed anyone that I didn't see in the stands. It was a close one...
summary
We started the game very ordinary and the Razorbacks fell behind 12-0 by the end of the first quarter but we managed to score before halftime making it 12-7 their way. Then after getting our ears chewed out by our coach we came out the second half firing and shut down their offence while our offence scored again to make it 13-12 our way. Then the games MVP ran back a Eagles punt all the way to give us a 20-12 lead. With under a minute left they scored again to make it 20-18, all they needed to do now was score a 2 point conversion and we'd be tied and go into overtime but our defence stood strong and stopped them. Razorbacks 20-18 Eagles final score. What a game. Hope everyone that came to see it enjoyed it. Thanks again
