Kicks off today in Bangalore - about 2:30pm our time.

Limited sub continent experience, depleted spinning stocks ... is this looming as only the second series loss under Ponting's captaincy?

Hmmm..... going to be rather more even than last time, I would guess.

Guy at work here was telling me the pitch has been prepared by a kiwi, and is a lot faster than usual in India - anyone confirm this?

Can't wait to see Hayden bat - going to (hopefully) be one of the highlights of the series, and certainly his last time in playing tests in the subcontinent you would think.

Spot on. Lee, Clark and Johnson will be looking forward to an Indian pitch that, for once, hasn't been prepared for spin on day one ;)

I'm sure the majority of people are well aware of this site, but I do come across people every now and then who don't know of its existence, so here it is.

ball-by-ball coverage

great for work when you don't have a radio.

And if your work blocks these sites, I find that The Age usually gets around them, and has ball by ball, and a barracking section. :)

Finally a sport worth talking about..... lol

This series will be a massive test for the Aussies with the new look line-up but I am confident we can pull off a series win.

How long is our tail though. It would have to be one of the longest/deepest batting line-ups in history - not necessarily the best.

Haddin at 8, Binger at 9, Johnson at 10 & Clark at 11.. pretty impressive

Combined with our lack of spin, you'd have to think we'll see a number of draws?

It's a highlight for Khan at least.
