i think its just the horrendous pre-season we had, and multiple injuries in each game we played.

So they have injuries, the Bues didnt have their A side on the ground either.

AND THEN THEY CAN'T BLOODY KICK STRAIGHT!!!!!

if burton slotted those first few goals from simple shots, we are in the game

You cannot blame just Burton he had a lot of forward line mates today, Thompson had 2 charity shots but also missed one that was a gimme.
I must be sick defending the birdman.

At last Bungy played a servicable game today, maybe the Crows BOG.

Dont blame the playesr the buck stops with the coach and selection committee.

There were far too many simple skill errors to say the players don't deserve any scrutiny, and the selection committee is probably doing it tougher than any other in the country right now. I think it's ridiculous to be crucifying the coach solely for a poor start to the season since it's been a series of unfortunate events and poor play that has them where they are now.

i agree completely muzz. we would have easily beaten melbourne had it not been for 4 injuries restricting our rotations, and in the other games, it has been fundamental skill errors.

i think a lot of this is due to the crows having a lot of underdone players. in general play, they are 1 step behind where the otherwise would have been if they were fully fit, causing them to be under a lot more pressure. similarly for set shots, they are spent when they actually get the ball, so fatigue is causing them to miss shots.

the crows are going through a similar situation to hawthorn last year, in which injuries have pretty much wrecked their season. hopefully we can get it back on track and sneak into the 8, but its not looking good.

is anyone else surprised by how well sydney are travelling?

i thought they would have a tough year given that hall, o'loughlin and other senior players had gone, but they seem to have picked up a few youngsters that are playing well.

being able to get someone like kennelly back for free is pretty good as well. mcglynn is a gun pickup - always thought he was a good player that didn't get enough game time at hawthorn (did he have some sort of injury last year?)

seaby and mumford for jolly in their ruck division seems to be a good swap at the moment - jolly had a gun year last year, but can't get a kick for the pies this year

Demons/Bulldogs was a great game, just don't know what they were thinking having both Melbourne and the umpires in pink.

Tyson edwards has retired effective immediately.

Fox sports are saying that he found out that he was going to be dropped after the st.kilda game. He then asked for a farewell game at home, the crows reportedly refused, so Edwards retired immediately.

Shit will hit the fan in a press conference with tyson edwards tomorrow morning. wow!
