What is it with coaches, teams, players, supporters, "Deserving" something from the game. You get exactly what you take, not a day, dollar, goal or contract more.
Sh!ts me to tears to hear commentators discussion "such and such owed the club some loyalty" when a contract is up and they want to be traded back somewhere else or leave to for a better deal. Rubbish. If the club wanted more from the player/coach then they would have negotiated a longer contract.
Or all the people saying this morning that the Hawks deserved the win last night. Again, rubbish, if they had kicked straight, or not fumbled in the last qtr, then they would have won. The game didn't owe them anything. Hawks got out of that game exactly what they put in, it just so happens the pies put in a little extra.
