Mascherano is an absolute gun in that position.
Plessis and also Spearing will probably get more game time though.

haha yeah you can spare a few 
Plessis is a pretty decent young player, played against Arsenal last season and didn't look out of place at all.
Spearing is a home grown lad who has also played in the 1st team (against Real Madrid possibly?) and he's been getting more and more exposure lately too.

Bit of injury news for Man Utd....
Van der Sar out for up to 8 weeks with broken finger and bone in his left hand.
It won't take 8 weeks for Owen to injur himself either
Gary Neville seems to still be having persistent injury problems as well (there's a bloke I love to hate!).
Looks like Senderos is leaving Arsenal to go to Everton, and Lescott might be leaving Everton for Man City.
