lol It's because half of them focus on footy too much. I'd hate to be someone who has always been a super footy player but doesn't make it to AFL and has to find an alternate career.

agree, but even worse if you were a low level golf or tennis pro, because its much harder to make any sort of money than it is in the afl.

This was mooted a few years ago after the NRL or ARL had it draft and salary cap rules challenged their players assn in the courts they won against the draft hence no draft but lost on the salary cap.

The AFL has the salary cap locked down in the player rules which are part of the nomiation process for joining the AFL and league rules.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

losing a salary cap would completely ruin the AFL imo.

Interesting to look back on this now. I think I was pretty close. If you switch West Coast who greatly outperformed expectations with Bulldogs who greatly underperformed their expectations you will see my ladder is pretty close. Also I think I gave ADL too much credit after all you guys convinced me they had an easy run.
