This has to be one of the biggest loads or horse crap i have ever heard. Steve waugh did bowl a few overs toward the end of his career, but he also bowled a few overs throughout the last few years of his career. To say he did that to be selfish is a stupid comment.

Just plain awful.

OK, who is the worst test player of all time.

My nominations are:

Simon cook
Scott Muller
Gavin Robertson
Shaun Young
and (somewhat reluctantly) Peter McIntyre

The best player never to play a test has to be Jamie Siddons, Statistically he has scored the most first class runs ever without playing a test, although he was twelfth man once on a tour of india in the earlr/mid nineties.

matthew, we have had this discussion many a time, and we all know that steve waugh is a selfish prick, and mark waugh is the most elegant batsman to ever play the game.

there is no argument really

benny the cunt, are you just saying stuff that is completely ridiculous in order to get a discussion happening?

You've basically sat there and told us what Steve Waugh was thinking.

Time to take your meds mate :P

if i say that all of our childhood rivalries (being twins and all) were settled with games of backyard cricket where i was generally mark waugh or shane warne when i was bowling, and matt was steve waugh and craig mcdermott or glenn mcgrath, does that put the above statements into context a bit?

:P

mark waugh is still a better player though :P

Backyard cricket is magnificent, could NOT get enough of that as a kid.

Mark Waugh was a very good batter, Steve Waugh was better at everything. It's the red hanky :P

And who wouldn't be Craig McDermott as a backyard bowler? You could claim legitimacy if you bowled a shocker at their head and it hit their bat and went onto the stumps :P

(first international wicket against Viv Richards unless I'm mistaken).
